The Albany Times-Union reports that two solicitors allegedly involved in a "potential energy scam" were arrested for soliciting without a permit.
"Police allege the two men claimed to represent an alternative to National Grid and were soliciting from door to door near Clifton Street," the Times-Union reports
According to the Times-Union, Waterford Public Safety Commissioner John Tanchak said that the solicitors claimed to be representing a company called "Hilu Energy," but Waterford police could not find a company by that name.
