PSC Chair: We'll Be "Very Proactive" In Auditing Retail Energy Suppliers

February 25,2020

WMAR-Baltimore provides more coverage of the previously reported creation by the Maryland PSC of a new compliance and enforcement unit

As previously reported, the unit will identify and track violation patterns, monitor retail energy supplier marketing practices in the field, conduct on-the-spot investigations and compliance audits, and provide retail supplier training

WMAR further quotes Jason Stanek, Chairman of the Maryland Public Service Commission as stating, "We're going to be very proactive in auditing these companies."

WMAR's story also recounts experiences of complainants regarding egregious sales practices
