Settlement In Lawsuit Against Retail Supplier Nears Approval; PUC Case Continues

The Portland (ME) Press-Herald reports that a federal court on October 14 is to consider approval of a pending $14 million settlement in a class action suit against Electricity Maine which concerns alleged pricing claims made by the company

The Press-Herald notes that a separate PUC investigation remains ongoing but that the company is in settlement negotiations in that proceeding as well. Electricity Maine has denied allegations of wrongdoing, the Press-Herald notes
