Report: Companies Leaving NV Energy Could Affect Remaining Customers

January 28,2019

The Las Vegas Review-Journal published a round-up of customers filing applications to leave NV Energy bundled supply in favor of competitive supply during 2018 (previously reported by EnergyChoiceMatters throughout the year, such as here)

In such story, the Review-Journal noted that a representative for NV Energy has told regulators in a filing with the PUC that, as a result of the exits from bundled supply, the utility's revenue requirements, "will be spread over fewer billing determinants, resulting in electric prices that are higher than they need to be and, more importantly, were expected to be."
