Power Generation Services, Inc. recently announced that it had completed the acquisition of Constellation Energy Control and Dispatch, LLC in Houston, Texas from Exelon Generation Company, LLC.

The Constellation Control and Dispatch unit had provided energy management services to municipalities, electric cooperatives, generating plants, demand response providers and transmission and distribution owners.

CECD will operate under a new name, Gridforce Energy Management, LLC as an independent subsidiary and will continue to provide energy services to cities, municipalities, electric cooperatives, generation owners, independent power producers, renewable power owners, transmission and distribution owners, and commercial and industrial facilities throughout North America, Power Generation Services said.

Gridforce said that it, "has successfully certified over 40 balancing authorities, manages full requirements service for 5 municipal utilities, and provides services to over 13,000 MW of generation in 5 NERC sub-regions."
