City Investigates Texas Muni Generation Contract Awards, Concerns Raised Over Muni’s Trading Risk

The City of Denton is investigating the contracting practice of municipal utility Denton Municipal Electric, including contracts awarded as part of building new generation, the Denton Record-Chronicle reports

Additionally, the City is bringing in an outside advisory to evaluate the risk that the municipal utility's energy trading activities place on the city
