State Grid Modernization Report Discusses Dynamic Pricing For Default Service

April 03,2017

A working group report on grid modernization in New Hampshire includes a discussion regarding dynamic pricing for electricity default service, as well as access to customer data

No consensus recommendations were made concerning overall choices for the design and pricing of default service (though the report does have "conditional" recommendations that would be applicable after initial policy decisions were made; e.g. assuming that an opt-in TOU default service rate were adopted, the report contains recommendations for such an opt-in TOU price).
