DFW Transplant Shocked By El Paso Electric High Bills, Lack of Choice

February 13,2017

An El Paso, TX resident writes in a letter to the editor of the El Paso Times that, since moving to El Paso from Dallas, their electric bill has increased 50%, despite having a smaller apartment, with gas heating (vs. all-electric in Dallas)

The resident was surprised to not have a choice of electricity providers in El Paso, and was shocked at what the resident said was a $24 meter reading fee from the utility
