The Gulf Coast Power Association named Allison Piper as president of the board at its January board meeting.

Piper is currently President of Manhattan Resources.

Piper previously served as Chief Operating Officer at StarTex Power and Spark Energy, Inc., and has held senior positions at several other REPs in a retail energy career dating back to 1999

Piper  served as an independent retail electric provider representative on the ERCOT Technical Advisory Committee in 2013

Piper has been on the GCPA board of directors starting in 2014 and was the Vice President in 2016.
