Texas City Eschews TCAP In Favor Of TXU For Electricity Supply

July 05,2016

TXU Energy announced that the City of Arlington, Texas has signed an electricity supply and services agreement with TXU

TXU said that the city previously had been a long-time customer of the Texas Coalition for Affordable Power.

According to Arlington Voice, the city was paying 7.3¢/kWh under the TCAP contract, executed in 2008, and the city must remain with TCAP through January 1, 2018

The city retained Priority Power Management to broker the new contract, Arlington Voice reported

Arlington currently uses about 72,500 megawatt-hours per year.
