Renewable Developer Awarded Army Contract in Texas, Virginia

The Defense Logistics Agency-Energy has awarded Apex Clean Energy Holdings LLC a maximum $497,350,565 firm-fixed-price contract for electricity from an on-site solar and off-site wind energy production facility, supplemented with electricity from conventional resources.

Apex Clean Energy Holdings was awarded the 29-year, 10-month contract for renewable energy after a competitive solicitation with nine responses received. The conventional energy portion of the contract is 10 years, with one 10-year and one eight-year option period.

Locations of performances are Virginia and Texas, with an Oct. 31, 2045, performance completion date. Using military service is Army.
