Cleveland.com reports that city officials in Cleveland allege that funding from FirstEnergy helped fund the distribution of mailings to Cleveland residents that drew attention to higher rates at municipal utility Cleveland Public Power

Cleveland.com reports, "$200,000 from FirstEnergy flowed to Consumers Against Deceptive Fees in 2019 through another nonprofit that acted as a pass-through, Partners for Progress."
