Texas Tribune Publicizes Customers Being Disconnected Due To Inability To Reach REP CSR

The Texas Tribune has publicized instances, first reported by EnergyChoiceMatters.com last week (story here), in which customers have called Texas retail electric providers for payment assistance, and have been put on hold by REPs for three hours, and unable to get through to discuss payment arrangements, resulting in the customer being disconnected for non-payment.
