AEP Texas Files To Implement New Charges For Rider DCRF Applicable To REPs (Increase From "0" Rate)
April 06,2020
AEP Texas has filed to update the amounts charged to retail electric providers under its Distribution Cost Recovery Factor (Rider DCRF)
For residential customers, the proposed new amount for Rider DCRF is $0.001826 per kWh
For Secondary Service Less Than or Equal to 10 kW customers, the proposed new amount for Rider DCRF is $0.003465 per kWh
The new DCRF rates are proposed to be effective Sept. 1, 2020
The proposed Rider DCRF amounts for other classes can be seen in AEP's application on page 10 (PDF pagination) here
Under a recent base rate case decision , for which a written order has not yet been issued, AEP Texas' DCRF rates are to be set to 0 effective upon the effective date of the new base rates, and the proposed DCRF changes to be effective Sept. 1, 2020 would be a change from the soon-to-be-implemented "0" DCRF rate.
