PUC Warns Legislature Against Price Caps

A lawyer for the Rhode Island PUC has warned the state legislature against various proposals for price caps, in the wake of significant default service rate hikes at National Grid which the PUC partially deferred, the AP reports (via Fox Business)

According to the AP, counsel for the PUC noted that capping rate increases would increase costs through deferrals, and could incite legal challenges.
