Texas Bill Would Expand Public Utility Commission to 5 Members

Texas HB 911 would expand the composition of the Public Utility Commission of Texas to include five members.
Four members would be appointed by the governor with the advice and consent of the senate, with a new provision that one of these four members must be appointed from a list of candidates submitted to the governor by the Speaker of the House of Representatives.
One member would be appointed by the lieutenant governor.
