Chron's Tomlinson: Competitive Energy-Only Texas Electric Grid Proves Critics Wrong Again

October 02,2019

Chris Tomlinson, in the Houston Chronicle, writes that, "Another blazing hot summer is another vindication of Texas’ cutting-edge electricity system."

Tomlinson cited "fear-mongering" before both the 2018 and 2019 summers due to the lack of a capacity market in Texas.

Such critics, "were wrong in 2018, and they were wrong again in 2019," Tomlinson noted

As reported by EnergyChoiceMatters.com, on the same day that Tomlinson's column is published, an RTO with a capacity market -- PJM -- had to declare a "Pre-Emergency" Load Management Reduction due to hot weather
