The Denton (Texas) Record-Chronicle reports that while the City of Denton City Council postponed action on a rate hike for its municipal electric utility, the numbers "don't look good" and a hike is ultimately likely

The Record-Chronicle notes that drivers of the rate hike include a long-term renewable energy purchasing strategy as well as economics of a utility self-built power plant
