Report: Offices Of Two Retail Suppliers "Raided" In Slamming Instigation

July 01,2019

Reuters reports that a French consumer regulator has conducted "raids" on the offices of 2 retail energy suppliers -- Engie and Eni --- and 11 subcontractors to investigate allegations customers were enrolled without informed consent

Reuters Engie confirmed that the regulator was investigating it, and that Engie said that it would cooperate with the agency

Reuters notes that state-controlled supplier EDF, which is losing around a 100,000 customers per month, has complained that rivals were using anti-competitive tactics to win customers
