Texas Co-op Member Says Customers Could Save If Electric Choice Allowed

January 16,2015

A customer of Pedernales Electric Cooperative has had an op-ed published in the Hill Country News stating the customers could save significantly if electric choice were permitted at PEC.

The op-ed says that, "PEC's monopoly rates are still among the highest in the state," and that if PEC members could choose their provider, "the average residential member could easily save $578 per year" (citing Power to Choose offers for neighboring areas).
