BGE Files to Extend Electric Vehicle SOS Tariff Option

December 31,2014

Baltimore Gas & Electric has filed at the Maryland PSC to extend a pilot program which provides unique, time-of-use SOS rates to customers with electric vehicles.

The pilot is scheduled to terminate December 31, 2014. BGE sought to continue the program through December 31, 2015.

Under the program, residential default service customers under Schedule EV do not pay the standard Schedule R SOS rate, and instead have a unique, two-tier TOU SOS rate, with higher on-peak prices to encourage off-peak EV charging.

BGE reported the pilot tariff has 29 enrollees.
