Local Business Turn Power Off to Protest Default Service Rate Hikes

Two businesses in Orange, Massachusetts staged "blackout protests" of recent hikes in National Grid's default service rates, turning off power during business hours and relying on emergency lights, flashlights and lanterns to serve customers, the Greenfield Recorder reports.
