TNMP Posts SAC04 Code For New Rider Charged To Retail Providers, As Interim Approval Granted
November 13,2018
Texas-New Mexico Power has received interim approval from three Texas ALJs for implementing interim rates that were part of a settlement in TNMP's rate case (see details here) with the interim rates effective January 1, 2019
As first reported by EnergyChoiceMatters.com, the settlement includes a new Rider HCRF - Hurricane Cost Recovery Factor applicable to retail electric providers. Final amounts for Rider HCRF will be established once final approval of the settlement is granted, as the final rates will reflect carrying charges, less excess amounts TNMP has been recovering in current rates due to reductions in federal tax obligation (and the final amounts for such impacts will not be set until the date the new rates take effect). Non-final indicative rates were included in the settlement
However, TNMP has issued a market notice informing REPs of the SAC04 code to be used for billing the HCRF:
SAC04 Code: MSC007
SAC04 Description: Property Damage
SAC15 Description: HURRICANE COST RECOVERY
An additional market notice will be provided when final approval is received.
