Alberta Premier: Paying Too Much Under Deregulation, Wants Predictable, Affordable Prices

Alberta Premier Jim Prentice said on a CBC radio interview that, "the way the deregulated system has been functioning, we have been paying more for our electricity in my view than we should be, and that’s something I am taking a closer look at," the Calgary Herald reports.

Premier called for electricity to be affordable and predictable, with, "rate options that people understand."
