The founder of Summit Energy Services has launched a new energy solutions company, Mission Point Energy

Mission Point Energy said that it would provide custom energy savings solutions, with a focus on supplying on-site generation reducing the cost of electricity, cooling, hot water and heat. Mission Point Energy will design, build, own, operate and maintain cogeneration and other energy efficient solutions for the commercial and industrial markets.

It was not clear if the new company's services would include energy procurement

Mission Point Energy was formed by Jim Headlee, CEO, and Thomas Mort, CFO

Headlee previously founded broker-consultant Summit Energy Services in 1991, and led the company for over 15 years.

Mort has over 30 years of experience in the energy field, most recently as Global Energy Director for Archer Daniels Midland.
