Generators Seek PUC Ruling on Whether PSNH Providing Preferential Treatment to Affiliate Line

September 16,2014

The New England Power Generators Association has asked the New Hampshire PUC to address the relationship between Public Service of New Hampshire, and Northeast Utilities' Northern Pass merchant transmission line, and, "whether Northern Pass is receiving inappropriate subsidies from Public Service of New Hampshire," New Hampshire Public Radio reports.

The generators cited, "the access Northern Pass gets to PSNH rights-of-way; how it pays for labor from PSNH employees at cost, and how it can tuck Northern Pass mailers into PSNH customers’ bills," as examples of ratepayer subsidization
