Barry Goldwater, Jr., writing as Chairman of TUSK, (Tell Utilities Solar won't be Killed), penned a letter to the editor in the Arizona Republic criticizing Doug Little, candidate for the Arizona Corporation Commission, for being "anti-solar"

The Goldwater Institute, at which Goldwater, Jr. serves on the board of directors, has also campaigned for expanding commodity supplier choice to Arizona, in addition to solar options.
