NRG Formally Announces New Retail Plans Supporting Philadelphia Nonprofits

April 19,2017

NRG formally announced the launch of its Choose to Give affinity program which will allow customers to support Philadelphia-area non-profits by enrolling with NRG for electric service, and by continuing to take supply from NRG

RetailEnergyX.com reported on the plans last week

Nonprofits which customers can select for their affinity donations include:

• Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia

• Nemours/A. I. duPont Hospital for Children

• Big Brothers Big Sisters Independence Region

• Philabundance,

When customers enroll in a Choose to Give electricity plan, NRG makes an initial contribution of $50 to one of the available organizations chosen by the customer. For every year the customer remains on the plan, NRG contributes one percent of the annual supply portion of the customer’s bill back to that nonprofit.
