August 09,2016

The Midcontinent ISO said at a board meeting yesterday that it intends to file at FERC to implement a three-year forward capacity auction limited to retail choice areas within MISO, but that it now proposes to implement the auctions in the 2018-19 delivery year, rather than 2017-18

MISO continues to favor a three-year forward capacity auction design. The IMM requested that the board instead implement the IMM's proposed "prompt" hybrid.
