El Paso Electric Customers To See Higher Bills From Regulated Generation, More Increases Expected

A rate case settlement at El Paso Electric in Texas includes higher rates to recover increased costs of, among other things, regulated generation

Among other things, the settlement includes an annual non-fuel base rate increase of $3.7 million related to Four Corners Generating Station costs

A spokesperson for El Paso Electric told KFOX-14 that another rate case is expected when Montana Unit Four goes online, as the spokesperson person noted that some of EPE's generation is reaching the end of its life and needs to be replaced.
