Houston City Council Approves $80 Million Solar PPA

The Houston City Council has approved an $80 million, 20-year PPA with Hecate Energy to source solar power from a Hecate Energy solar power plant to be built in West Texas, Chron.com reports.

The PPA includes up to 30 MW of power annually, with a rate of 4.8¢/kWh. Chron.com reports that the city's current rate is 4.2¢/kWh
