Direct Energy Takes To Twitter To Reward Conservation In Light of ERCOT Plea

July 31,2015

In addition to calling its previously reported critical peak rebate program, Direct Energy also offered an additional incentive, via twitter, for Texans to reduce use yesterday in light of an ERCOT call for conservation

Specifically, Direct Energy urged customers to reduce their use by setting their thermostat to 78 degree and to tweet the company at @DirectEnergy using hashtag #78DegreeChallenge, for the chance to win a pre-paid $250 gift card.
