Talen Energy, the new company formed by the spinoff of PPL's competitive generation businesses, including PPL EnergyPlus, and several Riverstone Holdings power plants, is seen as likely to grow though more acquisitions, the Allentown Morning Call reports

Citing a report from Deutsche Bank analysts, the Morning Call cites acquisition targets as including power plants owned by various AEP and Entergy subsidiaries.

AEP's competitive generation business, which is currently the subject of a strategic review, also includes retail supplier AEP Energy.
