Conflict of Interest Alleged for Mayor Who Served as Energy Agent

The Buffalo News reports on an interesting development in Westfield, NY, where Mayor Michael VandeVelde, "previously had a side job as an 'energy consultant' for Ambit Energy," according to the Buffalo News

VandeVelde wants to switch the village's natural gas accounts to Ambit, but the move has been criticized by several trustees due to a perceived conflict of interest.
