A group called "Movement for a Green New Deal" has been formed in New York, whose platform includes advocating for, "public power."

The group seeks an agenda that includes

• Stopping all fossil fuel infrastructure

• Public power

• 100% renewable energy

• "Taxing the rich to fund a rapid, just transition"

Social media posts described Movement for a Green New Deal as, "a coalition including Food & Water Action, New York Communities for Change, the NYC Democratic Socialists of America, and the Sunrise Movement - NYC."

The group recently conducted "training" to "educate" and "prepare" members
