Update: Ventura Moves Some Accounts Back To Utility Supply From Municipal Aggregation

June 25,2019

The City of Ventura, Calif. has elected to move its streetlight accounts from its municipal aggregation back to Southern California Edison for supply, but will keep other non-residential accounts on CCA supply, the Ventura County Star reports

The move results from cost changes since the CCA started.

While other non-residential accounts are facing higher costs, Ventura is keeping those on CCA service, though at a lower (cheaper) renewable energy percentage

Several other cities in the municipal aggregation are moving accounts or considering options due to the cost increases, the Ventura County Star reports (see the story here)
