Arizona Commission Schedules Stakeholder Meeting On Utility Supply Procurement, RPS, Smart Energy

Staff of the Arizona Corporation Commission have scheduled a stakeholder meeting for April 29 to address several issues in the ACC's energy rules docket, RU-00000A-18-0284

While electric choice will not be discussed, at least three items impacting any transition to retail choice will be addressed: resource planning and procurement, renewable portfolio standards, and technological developments in generation and delivery of energy.

Specifically, the discussion will focus on possible modifications to the Commission's Rules for Renewable Energy Standard and Tariff Resource Planning and Procurement, Energy Efficiency (Electric and Gas), Environmental Portfolio Standard, and Net Metering. Additional topics will include Baseload Security, Forest Biomass, the Statutory Biennial Transmission Assessment, and Technological Developments in Generation and Delivery of Energy.
