Big Utilities’ Nightmare Begins To Play Out

Writing in the Los Angeles Daily News, Thomas Elias takes a look at the pressures facing California's investor-owned electric utilities from competing sources of power.

While the impetus is South San Joaquin Irrigation District's attempt to take over PG&E's local distribution system, Elias also notes community choice aggregation as another avenue for choice, citing movements in some 40 localities to start CCAs.
