Arizona Commissioner Says Support For Investigation Of Retail Choice Shows Independence From APS

October 18,2018

In response to accusations that Arizona Corporation Commissioner Justin Olson is parroting positions of Arizona Public Service, Olson said that his support of policies opposed by APS, such as a new investigation of retail electric competition, shows that he is not a puppet of APS, the Arizona Republic reports

In defending against the allegations, the Arizona Republic reports that Olson has said while campaigning this year that he wants to investigate retail competition.

As previously reported, Olson recently supported including a review of the retail electric competition rules as part of a grid modernization proceeding (see details here)
