PSEG Energy Solutions, Public Service Enterprise Group's competitive retail energy supplier, is understood to have recently undergone material reductions in staff and is said to be winding down its retail operations, according to individuals familiar with the matter who spoke on the condition of anonymity given the nature of the changes.

PSEG Energy Solutions is said to be continuing to serve its existing book of retail business, but is otherwise said to be winding down the retail business

PSEG had launched PSEG Energy Solutions in 2016 as a "defensive" move to preserve margin for its generation.

As of the original publication time, PSEG did not return a request for comment.
