ComEd To Begin Posting Price Comparison Info On Bills, AG Seeks Total Cost Info As Well

September 07,2018

Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan is calling for Commonwealth Edison and Ameren to include default service pricing and cost information on utility consolidated bills, including the price to compare per kWh as well as a shadow billed monthly cost under default service.

The Illinois Commerce Commission's Office of Retail Market Development in an annual report has recommended that the PTC be included on UCBs as well as marketing materials

Crain's Chicago Business reports that, "A ComEd spokesman said the utility intends to begin posting its comparative price on all bills beginning toward the end of this year."

Crain's Chicago Business also reports that Ameren has agreed to include certain information as well, but the precise information to be included has not been identified

ABC 7 reports Ameren is in "discussions" with the ICC concerning the disclosure of such information
