Former Texas Rep. Who Led Restructuring Says Power to Choose Needs "Standardization"

August 07,2018

In an interview with Texas Monthly, former Texas state representative Steve Wolens, credited with leading efforts to introduce customer choice, said that the Power to Choose site, " needs standardization"

Wolens told Texas Monthly that, "To go to Power to Choose and to do a selection is confusing, it’s complicated, it defies comparison shopping and it needs standardization. It ought to be as easy to compare the price of (electricity) as it is comparing the price of rolls of toilet paper."
