Lubbock City Council, LP&L Utility Board Approve Implementation of Advanced Meters

The Lubbock City Council and Lubbock Power & Light (LP&L) Electric Utility Board approved the implementation of advanced meters for LP&L electric customers in Lubbock.

Full AMI installation is to begin in 2019 and be completed in 12 months

As previously reported, Lubbock Power & Light has stated an intent to implement customer choice for the portion of its load transitioned to ERCOT, and is currently engaged in a study prior to a final decision on choice implementation
