We Energies Power Plant’s Fate Will Cost Michigan Upper Peninsula (And Shopping Customers) Millions

The Lansing State Journal takes a look at the issues surrounding We Energies' Presque Isle Power Plant, and cost and cost allocation associated with its operation.

Now that the utility-owned plant is supported by a backstop reliability agreement, competitive supply customers cannot avoid the charges associated with its operation, and as previously reported, We Energies has moved to allocate these costs entirely to its Michigan service area, and not Wisconsin.
