Texas electric complaints rose in 2014, according to a report from the Texas Coalition for Affordable Power
It's the first time in five years that the number of Texas electric complaints have risen
Fiscal 2014 also marked the year with the second fewest complaints since the implementation of retail electric deregulation more than a decade ago, TCAP said. The 7,608 complaints or inquiries registered in FY 2014 also numbered less than half the 15,956 complaints tallied during a peak in FY 2009.
TCAP noted that for FY 2014, the PUC saw 143 switch-hold complaints, a 7.5 percent increase.
