City Prohibits Retail Supplier From Door-to-Door Marketing

October 14,2014

The City of East Lansing, Michigan has prohibited Just Energy from conducting solicitations in the city, LansingCityPulse.com reports.

According to City Pulse, City Clerk Marie Wicks said, "We sent the corporate offices a notice that they were prohibited from soliciting in East Lansing because the majority of applicants were not able to solicit based on the results of the criminal background checks."

Just Energy provided the following statement to RetailEnergyX.com:

"Just Energy apologizes for the confusion with the permit process and is currently working closely with the authorities in East Lansing, to ensure we have all the request permits before beginning marketing in the area again."
