ComEd Files New Default Service Rates

April 26,2018

Commonwealth Edison recently filed with the ICC tariff pages to implement new Purchased Electricity Charges, the largest component of the Price to Compare

For residential customers, there will only be a marginal increase from the current winter PEC (5.844 cents per kWh) to the new summer PEC (5.959 cents per kWh) starting June 1, 2018

However, the new residential 2018-19 winter PEC on the tariff filing of 6.525 cents per kWh would be over 10% higher than the current winter PEC. The winter PEC, however, may be adjusted prior to the start of the winter 2018-19 period based on potential supply portfolio changes

See the tariff filing here; includes rates for non-residential classes

Official new PTCs have not yet been posted
