Staff of the Maryland PSC have filed, for PSC consideration, a Maryland Community Solar Contract Summary Disclosure with instructions, which are an integral part of the document (together "Contract Summary").

This document is required by COMAR 20.62.05.07. Earlier versions of the document were submitted to the Commission as part of the Report of the Staff of the Public Service Commission of Maryland Regarding Issues Raised in Commission Letter Order, dated February 15, 2017. However, none of the contract summary forms previously submitted represented a consensus document.

The Contract Summary now proposed by Staff has been discussed generally by the Net Energy Working Group ("NEWG") as a whole and in depth by a portion of the NEWG especially interested in consumer protection issues. Staff is unaware of any opposition to the Contract Summary. Staff asks that the Commission approve the Contract Summary for use in the Community Solar Energy Generating Systems (CSGES) Pilot Program, post the Contract Summary on the Community Solar website, and direct Staff to send a copy of the Contract Summary to all entities that have been assigned a CSEGS Identification Number.
