The North American Electric Reliability Corporation Board of Trustees announced the appointment of James (Jim) B. Robb as NERC’s new president and chief executive officer.

Robb, who will take over duties on April 9, currently serves as the CEO of the Western Electricity Coordinating Council, a NERC Regional Entity. He assumed the WECC position in 2014.

Among his prior positions, Robb had previously served as Senior Vice President of Retail Marketing at Reliant Energy

Robb has also served in leadership roles at Northeast Utilities
