Switch CEO Discusses Vision For Company's New Retail Electric Supplier

February 19,2018

In an interview with The Nevada Independent concerning Nevada's electric choice ballot initiative, Switch CEO Rob Roy discussed Switch's recently created retail supplier, which had been first reported by EnergyChoiceMatters.com

Roy told the Independent that Switch does not have much interest in serving Switch's own load, and that the new supplier, Switched On, LLC, was created to serve low-income or vulnerable customers if a retail market does not develop for such customers.

If a market for such customers did not develop, Roy, as part of his philanthropic efforts, would serve such customers, "at cost."

"We’ll do it at cost, but there’s got to be solar that’s built that’s just designated to these end users, that’s just designated to elderly that have no families," Roy told the Independent
